Discomfort levels during semi-permanent makeup procedures vary depending on individual pain tolerance and the specific area being treated. A very advanced numbing cream and technique is used to minimise clients discomfort, most clients report no discomfort during the treatment.
Good candidates for semi-permanent makeup include individuals who want to enhance their facial features, save time on their daily beauty routine, or address concerns such as sparse eyebrows or uneven lip shape and colour.
Before a semi-permanent makeup procedure, it’s essential to avoid certain activities such as sun exposure, exfoliating treatments, and blood-thinning medications (ibuprofen) to minimize the risk of complications and ensure optimal results. Additionally, discussing any allergies or sensitivities with your technician beforehand is highly recommended.
It’s important to note that individuals with a history of herpes simplex virus (HSV) may be at risk of developing a herpes simplex outbreak after lip blush tattooing. In such cases, antiviral medication may be prescribed as a precautionary measure. If you have a history of HSV or any other medical condition, be sure to inform me before the procedure.
While semi-permanent makeup is designed to fade over time, it can be corrected, adjusted, or worked over if the pigment isn’t too saturated. Techniques such as laser tattoo removal or saline tattoo removal can help lighten or remove unwanted pigment. Additionally, I can often work over old tattoos to refresh or modify their appearance. However, it’s essential to consult with me before booking a correction procedures to ensure the best possible outcome.
